The holiday season is upon us. We've filled the shop with some of our best goodies for TWO weekends of Re-Treat this month. Yes, two whole weekends of inspiration! Hoping you can join us for snowmen, ornaments, candles, santas, snowflakes, christmas trees, pillows, artwork, bracelets, necklaces, paintings, art cards, local honey, funky furnishings and much, much more... Now all we need is a little snow and it would feel more like the "Season of Joy". See you soon!

Thanksgiving and the upcoming holiday season is a time for reflecting on all the gifts in our lives. Whether it be with family or friends, we encourage you find a few moments to thank those that have shared their time or influenced your life. We hope that we've been able to provide a few moments of joy and inspiration and we are thankful that you return month after month to discover new treasures or just stop in to say hello.

Here's a few sneak peaks of this month's opening. Hopefully you will find a few gifts to share or new ideas for the holiday season.

Eerie Elegance - October 6, 7 & 8

It’s October. It’s hard to believe. But get ready for Eerie Elegance. What is Eerie Elegance? Well the definition of Eerie is: strange and slightly frightening while the definition of Elegance is: a refined quality of gracefulness and good taste. Let’s just say you get a good dose of Halloween, a touch of Autumn and wait for it…a Christmas room! You may say the Christmas room is the Eerie part of this month (strange and slightly frightening) but there are those of you that asked for it and it’s not too early to start thinking about the holidays.

We love this time of year as the store is f-u-l-l and there is something for everyone including new candles that will make you say W.O.W., fall jewelry from our artsy vendors, fall scents from Bumbletown Soap Works. It’s also a great month for vintage goods and we’ll be replenishing throughout the weekend. So please come and circle the store, then circle some more as one time around is never enough.

Gifts of Autumn - September 8, 9, & 10

We just got back from our annual excursion to Copper Harbor for fun, adventure and volunteering at the Copper Harbor Fat Tire Festival. It once again provided us with great memories but also signaled the transition from summer to fall. The seasons are a gift to us living in the Keweenaw and they always seem to pass too quickly. Join us this month as we feature 'Gifts of Autumn'....oranges, yellows, reds, fall leaves and lots of halloween mixed in.

Re-Treat Flea - August 4, 5 & 6

Re-Treat Design will be hosting the first annual (hopefully) vintage flea market this Saturday from 10am-4pm. Join us and a few of our vendors and artists at the big green house and yard for vintage goods and artwork inside and out of the store. Not only will we be hosting the Saturday Flea Market, we'll also be featuring an August flea room in addition to our usual vignettes of fun. The flea room will be replenished with great deals each day throughout the weekend. Come find something for yourself, your family, your friends, your yard or your home. Back to school, gathering with friends and black and while are our inspirations for this month...a couple preview pictures....

Summer Inspiration

Long days, sunsets on the big lake, hanging out on the porch, digging in the garden...what inspires you? Visit us for a little Re-Treat "Summer Inspiration" for your home and cabin this weekend. We've mixed it up a bit with vignettes of bright colors contrasted with a black & white room. Lot's of new ideas and goods to explore. Visit us this weekend: Thursday (5pm-8pm), Friday (10am-6pm) and Saturday (10am-4pm).
