Peace. Joy. Noel. - December 5, 6 & 7 and More Please - December 12, 13 & 14

December already?  We are not sure where the months have gone but we have reached the end of our 2013 openings.  It is our final stretch of the year, open two weekends this month with a whole lot of Christmas mixed with some great vintage finds and gifts for the holiday season.  Yes, we did say two weekends so if you don't get your fill during Peace. Joy. Noel., you can come on back for More Please next weekend. 

This month is a time for relaxing with family (Peace), taking in and celebrating the season (Joy) and of course gathering for the holiday (Noel).  We thank you for finding time to gather with us as part of your monthly ritual and bringing your enthusiasm each and every month.   Hope you enjoy our offerings for this holiday season and we look forward to continuing to be your Re-Treat from the ordinary and a source of inspiration as we move into another year.

Sparkle and Shine - November 7, 8 & 9

We have reached the week that we suddenly lose an hour of light at the end of the day. Whose idea was that anyway?  It seems that this is one week that we find it hard to motivate. Have no fear, Re-Treat is here!  Despite the short days and downright miserable fall weather we are looking forward to the holidays with lots of sparkle and shine coming at you starting thursday (5-8pm).  I have to say the shop is looking spectacular thanks to one of us working hard while one of us was playing on their mountain bike in Utah.

We hope you can join us as we usher in the holiday season.  There's lots of artsy-craftsy events going on this weekend in addition to Re-Treat, so be sure to make the rounds.  See you Thursday 5-8pm, Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.

All Hallows Eve - October 3, 4 & 5

October is

when night guzzles up

the orange sherbet sunset

and sends the day

to bed

before supper

and

October is when jack-o’-lanterns

grin in the darkness

and

strange company crunches

across the rumple of dry leaves

to ring a doorbell.

October is

when you can be ghost,

a witch,

a creature from outer space…

almost anything!

And the neighbors, fearing tricks,

give you treats.

Fall Fest - September 5, 6 & 7

Are you ready?  Ready for cool temperatures, fall colors and shorter days?  We have to admit that we love fall.  As much as we are sad to know the long summer days are behind us, we look forward to changing Re-Treat over to oranges, yellow, browns, pumpkins and fun halloween creations.  The store is overflowing with great furniture, fall decorations and vintage finds.  Join us September 5, 6 & 7 and see how we have transformed the store to fall.

 

Re-Treat Flea - August 1, 2 & 3

This Saturday is our annual Re-Treat Flea!  We will feature a collection of vendors outside the store and we will also have a Flea room inside with items we want to move and at prices that will get them out the door.  Thursday and Friday will be regular store hours with lots of new things from our great vendors and artists.  Yes you will have to come back on Saturday to enjoy the Flea but we promise it will be worth it!  Rumor has it that pillows will be 50% of Saturday!

Let the Sun Shine In - July 11, 12 & 13

Open the blinds and let the sun shine in...it's summer!  July in the U.P. and it actually feels like it. This is the time of the year to expand your decorating horizons to include your outdoor space.  Why shouldn't your deck, porch, etc. be an extension of your indoor space?  We love when you can open the sliding door and step into your own little oasis....correction:  your own little Re-Treat.    A collection of mismatched chairs, some carefully selected pieces of found items and a salvaged shipping crate potting bench can make your space.  Yes please!  We have lots of new pieces...come visit and see if we have the perfect one to complete your collection.

Garden Elements - June 6, 7 & 8

Finally! The snow is gone, the trees are green and flowers are blooming.  It is summer in the Keweenaw.  Time to dig in the garden, play outside and soak up the rays of summer.   This month we are bringing you a fabulous selection of fun things to help you decorate for the season.  It's not only about inside the home this month as its time to be outside! Join us this Thursday through Saturday for "Garden Elements"...ideas for your home and garden are waiting...
