Junk Heaven
If you haven't heard of Junk Bonanza, you have now. This once a year 3 day event, held in Shakopee, MN has changed our lives... Okay it hasn't changed our lives but we now know how we will spend part of our September in coming years. We were lucky enough to be asked to help work our friend Lori Miller's booth at the Bonanza. Lori is owner of Round Barn Potting Company in Andover, MN and if we need to pick one word to describe her (and her store), it would be "inspiring". We arrived on Wednesday to find a dozen birch trees, some two by fours and plywood turned into French shipping crates, 7 vintage dress forms, a couple gutted chairs, and many odds and ends transformed into a work of art. Some moss here, some beads there, and the space was beautiful! Here's a couple shots to give you a taste...
Throughout the show the three of us were able to rotate between working the booth and hunting for more goodies. We found lots of fun things and many new ideas amongst the 100+ booths. Here's a few random shots from the show...
And yes we brought back many goodies for Re-Treat's October opening..be there early so you don't miss out!

Christine and Lori-
ReplyDeleteSo fun to have met you at JB. You guys were so awesome to have close by, and I know that Carolyn really enjoyed getting to know you gals too. I'm sure you were a huge help to Lori, as she probably would of been like me and not able to shop at all. That is the downside of doing a show of this magnitude, is having to tend to your booth and missing out on all the great stuff. However, it's been fun to see it in so many others blogs after the show. It was a great event for me, and I'm so thankful to be a part of this great show and to have had the privilege of meeting you ladies. Hope to see you in 12 mos. :)
I am now a follower on your blog, so will keep up with your business events through that.
